Ready in three weeks: how an interdisciplinary team built a content platform for over 40 experts at the BEA from scratch

When the KMU Impulsprogramm got the chance to be present for a whole week in the CUBE at the BEA, Peak brought connected thinking and fast execution: what began as a request for photo and video turned into a dedicated self-service platform for more than 40 experts, orchestrated communications and KPI reporting for the executive board — reaching over 44'000 people.

01 · BASE CAMP

Starting point

At short notice, the KMU Impulsprogramm was offered the opportunity to be present for a week in the CUBE at the BEA — powered by BEKB | BCBE, together with Bern Connect. Live workshops, podcasts and panel discussions were meant to enable direct, eye-level exchange between business and the public. Lead time for the organisation: only three weeks. Peak was originally asked to cover the appearance with Peak Studio in photo and film.

02 · ASCENT

Challenge

Supplying more than 40 experts with professional content simultaneously across an entire BEA week is first and foremost a question of structure: if every photo and video request had to pass through the core team, it would tie up valuable capacity precisely during live operations — capacity needed to run the week itself. The real challenge was scaling to a number of contributors for which no infrastructure existed in the short preparation window.

03 · TURNING POINT

Approach

Peak thought in connections and had a solution ready in no time: an in-house DIY platform instead of pure photo and video coverage. More than 40 experts could pick up their professional photos, video reels and ready-made Canva templates directly and independently, organised by day and with templates for their own communications. An interdisciplinary team of internal and external forces — Peak and the KMU Impulsprogramm together — implemented it efficiently. Throughout the BEA week, Peak was actively on site: orchestrating content production, supporting corporate communications including press releases, and tracking KPIs across social media, earned media and the website in a complete report for the executive board.

Result

44'148

people reached across 4 communication channels

40.8%

LinkedIn engagement rate on the Peak day

40+

experts supplied with content via the self-service platform

The LinkedIn industry average is around 2% — a factor of 20 at the BEA. 89.5% of the Instagram reach came from non-followers, so the programme opened up new audiences. The three BärnerBär articles about the programme added 17'037 page views at an average reading time of 1:42 min. Pilot measurement 11 April – 10 May 2026: +2'037% reach compared with the baseline without a BEA presence, fully organic and without paid media budget.
